No technical setup is required for the Extended Trade and Manufacturing app. After installation, all features are available automatically. Optional setup is available for production and package numbering features.
Prerequisites and notes
Material Planning can be enabled for item lines regardless of the Replenishment System.
Material Planning mode is started via the Material Planning action on item and production BOM pages.
BOM Structure values are prefilled from item master data when item lines are initialized.
Changes to Material Planning directly in BOM Structure immediately synchronize to the related item.
Optional production setup
Enable Item Tracking on Lines on the relevant item journal batch to enter serial, lot, package, expiration, and warranty information directly on output journal lines.
Set Package Nos. in Inventory Setup if package numbers should be suggested from a number series.
Set Lot No. Suffix on the relevant Item Tracking Code Card if a suffix should be appended to suggested output lot numbers.
Enable Auto. Explode Routing on the relevant item journal batch to automatically explode routings in the output journal.
Enable Suggest Last Operation on the item journal batch to suggest only the final routing operation.
