The Extended Trade and Manufacturing app enhances Business Central's production planning in two areas:
1) Extended availability information
Additional fields on production order component lines and purchase lines show inventory, open sales demand, expected receipts, and existing production demand, including calculated net availability.
2) Material Planning in BOM Structure
A dedicated mode lets users mark items and components for material planning directly in the BOM structure. The feature includes automatic prefill from the item card, synchronization between BOM Buffer and Item, a global deactivation action, and a session lock that prevents concurrent access to the same item's material planning.
