Use this runbook for the day-to-day intercompany billing process.
1. Create a proposal
Open IC Invoicing.
Run action Create suggestion.
Set at least a Posting Date filter in the request page.
Optionally filter by IC Partner and Project (Cost Dimension 2).
2. Review the proposal
Review header totals and target company in IC Invoicing.
Open Show Lines to inspect grouped billing lines.
Open Show Cost Ledger Entries to verify source postings.
3. Correct assignments if needed
From NCCA Cost Entries, use Cancel IC Billing to remove a wrong assignment.
Cancellation is only possible if no sales document has already been created.
4. Create sales documents
In IC Invoicing, run Create IC Invoicing.
The app creates an Invoice or a Credit Memo automatically, based on the amount sign.
Posting and document date are derived from the end date of the selected date filter.
5. Validate the result
Use Show Sales Document in IC Invoicing to open created or posted documents.
Verify customer, posting groups, dimensions, line amounts, and optional surcharge lines.
Use Show Cost Ledger Entries to ensure source entries are linked to the proposal entry and line numbers.
Construction Work
When both the NCCA Cost Type and Project are classified as Construction Work, the proposal keeps those entries separate from standard cost entries. Processing therefore creates separate sales documents for the construction-work proposal and the standard proposal.
Operational Notes
Open proposals are header records where sales document numbers are not yet populated.
If quantity cost journal integration is enabled, quantity and cost dimensions are transferred with generated sales lines.
IC posting groups are also forwarded into IC inbox purchase processing through extension logic.
Optional dimension, quantity, and extended-account functions require the corresponding Intercompany Billing extension to be installed and licensed. Their status is shown in NCCA Setup.
