The App Automatic Picking for Production Orders creates picks based on the duration between the set up lead time to the Due Date of the Component.
The lead time to the due date is set default to 3.
Is this lead time less than or equal to 0 and the function is exectuted an error message is being displayed.
Every time Automatic Picking is started, the "Pick Failed" field is reset for all Prod. Order Components.
The "Source No. Line" and "Source Line No. Line" fields is shown in the Warehouse Picks. These fields are showing the Source No.(Prod. Order No.) and the Source Line No.(Prod. Order Line No.) of the Warehouse Pick Lines.
Furthermore, the fields "Item No.", "Item Description", "Starting Date" are displayed, these fields are determined based on the "Source No. Line" and "Source Line No. Line" from the Released Prod. Order Line.
The Inventory and number of Purchase Orders for the Location of the Prod. Order Component Line can be displayed with the "Order Information" FactBox in the Prod. Order Components List.
Automatic Picking for Production Orders can be exectuted like this
Via the search function in Business Central "Auto Pick Prod. Order Components"
A Job queue entry can be set up for the report with the ID 61611 to execute the functionality periodically.
In addition to this functionality it is possible to insert a "Quantity to Handle" in Picks, which exceeds the Quantity.
After consuming the needed Quantity in Production Orders a new function "Create Return Warehouse Pick" is used to return the remaining quantity.
With the new field "Over-Consumption" on "Prod. Order Component" it is possible to add quantity to "Expected Quantity" and get a additional Pick.
Pick Partial Quantities
If the "Pick partial quantities" checkbox is active in the setup, the "Quantity to pick" field is automatically displayed on the following pages:
Planned Production Order Line
Firm Planned Production Order Line
Released Production Order Line
With the Action "Create Warehouse Pick" the entered quantity is used as the picking quantity.
If the field "Quantity to be picked" does not contain a value, the complete required quantity is picked.
