Docs / NVXAPP Automatic Picking for Production Orders / General General
With the Automatic Picking for Production Orders-App Prod. Order Components of released Production Orders can be picked automatically.
The app analyzes the Production Order Components of the released Production Orders and
checks which Components are within the Lead Time to the Due Date and have not been picked yet.
These Components are being sorted by the fields Status, Prod. Order No., Prod. Order Line No., Due Date and Routing Link Code.
For the Components of which the Status is "Released", the Qty. Picked (Base) is less than the Expected Qty. (Base) and the same values in the fields:
Prod. Order No.
Prod. Order Line No.
Due Date
Routing Link Code
a new Pick is being created.
Components which are eligible to be picked, but could not be picked due to lacking availability etc. are being marked.
The Components where the pick has failed can be viewed in the tile "Pick failed" in the Role Centers "Purchasing Agent Role Center" und "Manufacturing Manager Role Center".
With this app it is also possible to exceed the quantity in the pick. This feature is used to handle whole units.
For returning the remaining quantity there is a new function in Production Order.
With the new field "Over-Consumption" on "Prod. Order Component" it is possible to add quantity to "Expected Quantity" and get a additional Pick.

General, Fields
"Pick Lead Time"
Specifies the duration in days, to automatically pick Production Order Components.
"Do Not Fill Qty. to Handle"
Specifies if you want to manually fill in the Quantity to Handle field on each Pick line.
"Commisson Quantity Overdeliver"
Specifies if it is allowed to exceed the Quantity in Picks.
Pick Partial Quantities
Indicates whether a partial quantity is to be picked.
Care On Bin At Create Pick
Indicates wether the Bin Content of Components Bin should be ignored at Create Pick.
Calc. Actual Consumption Quantity Based on Finished Quantity
Indicates wether the Actual Consumption Quantity should be calculated based on Finished Quantity.
Return Warehouse Pick No. Series
Specifies the No. Series used on Return Warehouse Picks.

The App Automatic Picking for Production Orders creates picks based on the duration between the set up lead time to the Due Date of the Component.
The lead time to the due date is set default to 3.
Is this lead time less than or equal to 0 and the function is exectuted an error message is being displayed.
Every time Automatic Picking is started, the "Pick Failed" field is reset for all Prod. Order Components.
The "Source No. Line" and "Source Line No. Line" fields is shown in the Warehouse Picks. These fields are showing the Source No.(Prod. Order No.) and the Source Line No.(Prod. Order Line No.) of the Warehouse Pick Lines.
Furthermore, the fields "Item No.", "Item Description", "Starting Date" are displayed, these fields are determined based on the "Source No. Line" and "Source Line No. Line" from the Released Prod. Order Line.
The Inventory and number of Purchase Orders for the Location of the Prod. Order Component Line can be displayed with the "Order Information" FactBox in the Prod. Order Components List.
Automatic Picking for Production Orders can be exectuted like this
Via the search function in Business Central "Auto Pick Prod. Order Components"
A Job queue entry can be set up for the report with the ID 61611 to execute the functionality periodically.
In addition to this functionality it is possible to insert a "Quantity to Handle" in Picks, which exceeds the Quantity.
After consuming the needed Quantity in Production Orders a new function "Create Return Warehouse Pick" is used to return the remaining quantity.
With the new field "Over-Consumption" on "Prod. Order Component" it is possible to add quantity to "Expected Quantity" and get a additional Pick.
Pick Partial Quantities
If the "Pick partial quantities" checkbox is active in the setup, the "Quantity to pick" field is automatically displayed on the following pages:

Released Production Order Line
With the Action "Create Warehouse Pick" the entered quantity is used as the picking quantity.
If the field "Quantity to be picked" does not contain a value, the complete required quantity is picked.

Inventory
Specifies how many units, such as pieces, boxes, or cans, of the item are in inventory.
"Qty. on Purch. Order"
Specifies how many units of the item are inbound on purchase orders, meaning listed on outstanding purchase order lines.
