For first-time configuration of NAVAX Replication, a guided Setup Wizard is available. It walks you through general setup, company configuration, and the selection of tables and fields to replicate.
You can open the wizard from Assisted Setup in Business Central, or via the action offered in the notification shown on the General Setup page as long as no master-data company has been configured.
Important
Run the wizard from the master-data company. Your user requires Replication Admin permission to use the wizard; this permission is granted to you automatically when you start it.
The wizard consists of the following steps:
Welcome
An overview of what the wizard does and what you need to prepare before you begin.
General Setup
Enable Database Replication if the companies you want to replicate between reside in different Business Central databases. In this case, the remote database must still be configured manually according to the Installation Notes — no wizard step is available for this.
Company Setup
Mark one company as the Master Data Company and mark any companies that should not participate in replication. This step corresponds to the Companies setup.
Table Setup Selection
Select which of the tables supported by the wizard should be configured automatically. Currently the wizard supports the automatic setup of the Item table and its related tables.
Table Selection
All tables related to the selected table(s) are detected automatically by following field relations and listed here, together with a suggested replication sequence so that lookup tables are replicated before the tables that depend on them.
Complex master-data areas (e.g., Vendor, Customer, G/L Account) are highlighted and pre-set to Ignore, since they are not supported by this wizard and must be configured manually via the Tables setup. You can adjust the sequence and the Ignore setting for any table.
Field Definition
Review the fields of all tables included in the previous step. Non-standard extension fields (field number 50000 and above) and fields referencing complex master-data tables are pre-set to Ignore and highlighted. Adjust the sequence and Ignore setting as needed. At least one field must remain included.
Finish
A summary shows the number of tables and fields that will be added. Choosing Finish applies the configuration and activates replication for the selected tables and fields. The Tables setup then opens automatically so you can review the result and decide how to proceed with the replication entries that were created.
