In each recipient database, the recipient companies of this database must be defined in the Replication Setup Companies. One of these companies should be defined as the "Master Data Company" of the recipient database.
Only in this company can replication for this (entire) database be started after receiving the replication entries. Replications for individual companies can also be started in a recipient database within the respective company itself.
To replicate, you must perform the following steps:
Transfer from Base Database
All new replication entries that concern this database are imported from the base database, and the setups are updated.
Execute Replication
This triggers the replication in the recipient database - just as you know it from the base database.
You can automate both steps via an entry in the job queue.
(Report 70161752 - "NVXRPL Transfer Remote Entries" and Codeunit 70161755 "NVXRPL Start Replication").
Important
The master data company in the additional database is not mandatory. However, if you want to start the replication for all companies with a single call of the "Execute Replication" function, you also need a master data company in the additional database from which you can start the replication for all companies.
In the additional database, the table definitions cannot be changed. Changes must always be made in the base database and are then automatically rolled out.
