The Autodesk Vault Interface app receives item and production BOM data from Autodesk Vault through its Vault API endpoints. The incoming data is stored in the corresponding Vault tables and processed by the VAULT Dispatcher.

Items

Use the item API to provide item data such as the item number, descriptions, item category, unit of measure, status, replenishment system, drawing number, revision, routing number, and production relevance. Items with the Waiting status are synchronized with Business Central. Items with the Create Item status are assigned a new item number and created in Business Central.

Production BOMs

Provide the production BOM header and its lines through the production BOM API. Set the header to Ready To Process when all lines have been transferred. The dispatcher then updates or creates the production BOM and its lines in Business Central.

Processing Status

The dispatcher changes a record to Processing while it is being handled. Successfully processed records receive the Success status. If processing fails, the record receives the Error status and the error message is stored in the record for review.
